Lunch and Learn

Sucessful Fundraising for Your Organization

The most recent event in our Lunch and Learn series, a panel about "Successful Fundraising for Your Organization", was hugely successful. Many individuals participated and the speakers gave excellent presentations. The events were held on February 28th in Edmonton and on February 29th in Calgary.

The three panelists came from different organizations, all members of ACGC. They each brought to the panel different expertise and success with different kinds of fundraising; small scale events run by volunteers, large events, and corporate fundraising. The panelists for this session were Janice Eisenhauer from Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan, Shelaine Sparrow from Change for Children, and Shauna Curry from the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology (CAWST).

Our three panelists have generously allowed us to share their presentations, allowing those individuals who were unable to attend a chance to learn from some of their information. The presentations are attached below.

Janice Eisenhauer, with Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan (CW4WAfghan), presented about their successful Breaking Bread dinners, which are small scale events run by volunteers:

Shauna Curry, with the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology (CAWST), presented about corporate fundraising:
